Glass back walls

Advantages

Glass Fin stabilizer back wall

Finwall1-small.jpg A glass finned back wall stands alone, requiring no attachment except at the court sidewalls and at the concrete slab below. At both these locations (sides and floor) the glass is located in an aluminum U-channel that is fixed to the building substrate.

Glass finned back walls are available as 2 panel walls and 4 panel walls and one 91,4cm wide (wheel chair entry usable) glass door, all fabricated of 12mm tempered glass. The purpose of the fins is to aid in the distribution of impact on the glass wall panels into the concrete below. All walls are delivered complete with all fittings in aluminum, white powder coated.

Metal framed back wall

Postwall1-small.jpg Courtwall offers a framed back wall system that incorporates four (two) posts in place of fins and a full-width metal top beam anchored to the sidewall substructure to support the glass wall. As with all hardware, the metal posts and beams are finished with an automotive-quality white coating and designed to reduce obstruction to a minimum for the spectator.

Steel framed back walls are available as 2 panel walls and 4 panel walls and one 91,4cm wide (wheel chair entry usable) glass door, all fabricated of 12mm tempered glass.

Opening Metal framed back wall

222a-small.jpg In some instances an opening glass back wall will be used to create a center court situation by using one court for temporary seating. For these occasions Courtwall Innovations offers a metal framed opening back wall system. As with all hardware, the metal posts and beams are finished with an automotive-quality white coating.
